First Alert

First Alert is a division of Sunbeam that manufactures a diverse array of home safety and consumer products. The company’s plan for data management was ambitious: adopting both PLM and ERP solutions at the same time.

The company needed a solution that would manage the Item Master, product drawings, marketing and engineering requests. The company also wanted to facilitate communication and data sharing with a manufacturing site in Mexico. And most importantly, the PLM solution had to work with the ERP software they had chosen.
